ទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅ
Parcels digitised from imagery routinely overlap the road reserve. This tool removes the overlap so parcels meet the road edge precisely.

- This is the parallel-offset method. The corridor edge is built by offsetting the centreline, which produces clean, correctly mitred corners at road junctions. Compare with Using buffer method, which buffers the centreline instead — simpler, but rounded or clipped at junctions.
- Road Width Type decides where the corridor width comes from:
Constant Width(default) — one width for the whole network, from Constant Road Width (Total Width).Width Field— a per-road width read from Road Width Field (Total Width).
- Both width parameters take the total road width, not the half-width. The tool offsets by half the stated value on each side. (Note that the buffer-method tool takes a half width — the two are not interchangeable.)
- Corner Style controls junction geometry:
Miter(default) — offsets are extended to meet at a sharp point. Correct for most junctions, but produces a long spike at very acute angles.Bevel— the corner is cut off at the distance given in Bevel Distance from corner (default5 Meters), which is the safer choice where roads meet at sharp angles.
- Trim the input land parcel? decides whether the parcel layer is modified in place or a new trimmed layer is written to Output Trimmed Parcels. Trimming in place overwrites the original geometry — work on a copy until the result has been checked.
- Additional Properties holds three fine-tuning parameters:
| Parameter | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Snap Tolerance | 0.01 Meters | How close geometry must be to snap together |
| Extend Distance | 1 Meters | How far corridor edges are extended to close junctions |
| Sliver Area Threshold | 1 | Offcuts smaller than this are discarded rather than left as slivers |
- Two optional outputs record the corridor itself: Output Road Edge (the edge lines) and Output Road Polygon (the corridor area). Append road edge to road centreline? adds the generated edges back into the road layer.

របៀបប្រើ
- Make a copy of the parcel layer if you intend to trim in place.
- On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Geoprocessing group, open the Trim Parcels gallery and click Using parallel method.
- Set Input Parcel Layer and Input Road Centerline Layer.
- Set Road Width Type:
- For a uniform road width, keep
Constant Widthand enter the total width in Constant Road Width (Total Width). - For varying widths, choose
Width Fieldand set Road Width Field (Total Width).
- For a uniform road width, keep
- Set Corner Style. Use
Bevelwith a suitable Bevel Distance from corner if roads meet at acute angles. - Leave Trim the input land parcel? unchecked and set Output Trimmed Parcels for a first run.
- To keep the corridor geometry, set Output Road Edge and Output Road Polygon.
- Click Run, then inspect the junctions for spikes or slivers. Adjust Corner Style, Extend Distance, or Sliver Area Threshold and run again if needed.
