To Living Atlas

Living Atlas is Esri's curated collection of basemaps, imagery, boundaries, and thematic layers.

• The tool has no dialog and does not use the map extent. It opens the Living Atlas browse page directly, filtered to maps.
• This differs from the other Go-to tools, which all pass the current map location to their target. Living Atlas is a catalogue, not a map view, so there is no location to pass.
• An internet connection and a default browser are required. Signing in with an ArcGIS account gives access to subscriber content.

1. Zoom and pan the map to the area you want to open.
2. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the unnamed Go-to group, open the Maps gallery and click To Living Atlas.
3. The Living Atlas browse page opens in the default browser.
4. Find a layer and add it to the project through the Catalog pane or the Add Data dialog.

Requires an active KGA Toolbox license. The tool validates the license before running.
