ទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅ
Use this tool for radial survey work — setting out from a single control point, or reporting the direction and distance of a set of features relative to a datum mark.
ការប្រើប្រាស់
Exactly one point must be selected in the map before the tool runs. That selected point is the reference. The tool raises an error if nothing is selected, or if more than one point is selected.
- Bearings are reported in three forms at once, so the output table suits both engineering and legal-description workflows:
BearingDeg— decimal degreesBearingDMS— degrees, minutes, secondsQBearing— quadrant bearing (for example, N 45° 30′ 00″ E)
- The output table is overwritten. If a table already exists at the Output table path, it is deleted and recreated.
- Distances are computed in the point layer's own coordinate system units. Run the tool on a projected layer; distances taken from a geographic coordinate system are expressed in degrees and are not meaningful as ground distance.
- Only point layers are accepted in Input point layer.

| Input point layer | Feature Layer | The point layer containing both the reference point and the target points. Point geometry only. One feature must be selected in the map to act as the reference. |
| Output table | Table | The standalone table that receives the results. An existing table at this path is deleted and replaced. |
| Select field | Field | The identifier field used to label the reference point and each target point in the output table. |
Output table schema
| Field | Type | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
RefValue | Text (100) | The Select field value of the reference point |
TargetValue | Text (100) | The Select field value of the target point |
Distance | Double | Distance from reference to target, in the layer's coordinate system units |
BearingDeg | Double | Bearing in decimal degrees |
BearingDMS | Text (50) | Bearing in degrees, minutes, seconds |
QBearing | Text (80) | Quadrant bearing |
Direction | Text (10) | Cardinal or quadrant direction code |
RefX, RefY | Double | Coordinates of the reference point |
TargetX, TargetY | Double | Coordinates of the target point |
របៀបប្រើ
- Add the point layer to the map and confirm it uses a projected coordinate system.
- Using the Select tool, click the single point that will serve as the reference. Confirm the Contents pane reports one selected feature.
- On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Spatial Analysis group, open the Spatial Analysis menu and click From Reference Point Direction Calculation.
- Set Input point layer to the layer holding the selection.
- Set Output table to the table to create.
- Set Select field to the point identifier field — typically a point number or name.
- Click Run. One row is written per target point.
