ទិដ្ឋភាពទូទៅ

The tool works in both latitude/longitude and projected X/Y, and reports bearings as north azimuth, quadrant bearing, or both.

ការប្រើប្រាស់

  • The tool has two modes, selected with Calculate in table?:
    • Unchecked (single pair) — Type the four coordinate values into X-Coordinate of Start Point through Y-Coordinate of End Point. The result is reported in the tool messages.
    • Checked (batch) — Supply Input Table holding coordinate pairs and Specify output table to receive the calculated bearings and distances.
  • Coordinate Type must match the values supplied. Setting it to Projected X/Y while entering degrees, or the reverse, produces results that look plausible but are wrong by orders of magnitude.
    • Latitude/Longitude — values in decimal degrees; distance is computed on the ellipsoid.
    • Projected X/Y — values in projected units; distance is computed on the plane.
  • Distance Unit and Bearing Unit each offer a combined option that reports two forms side by side: Choose a combined option when the same result must be read by different audiences.
    • Meters - Kilometers reports both metres and kilometres.
    • NAz - Quadrant (DMS) reports both north azimuth and quadrant bearing.

Calculate in table?ជម្រើសBoolean

Selects batch mode.

  • Checked — Input Table and Specify output table are used; the coordinate boxes are ignored.
  • Unchecked (default) — The four coordinate boxes are used for a single calculation.
Coordinate TypeString

The kind of coordinates supplied. Must match the input values.

  • Latitude/Longitude — decimal degrees
  • Projected X/Y — projected units
X-Coordinate of Start Pointជម្រើសDouble

The X or longitude value of the start point. Single-pair mode only.

Y-Coordinate of Start Pointជម្រើសDouble

The Y or latitude value of the start point. Single-pair mode only.

X-Coordinate of End Pointជម្រើសDouble

The X or longitude value of the end point. Single-pair mode only.

Y-Coordinate of End Pointជម្រើសDouble

The Y or latitude value of the end point. Single-pair mode only.

Input Tableជម្រើសFeature Layer; Table View

A table or feature layer holding the coordinate pairs to process. Required in batch mode.

Specify output tableជម្រើសTable

The table that receives the calculated bearings and distances. Required in batch mode.

Distance UnitString

The unit the distance is reported in.

  • Meters - Kilometers — both
  • Meters
  • Kilometers
Bearing UnitString

The form the bearing is reported in.

  • NAz - Quadrant (DMS) — both
  • NAz — north azimuth
  • Quadrant (DMS) — quadrant bearing in degrees, minutes, seconds

របៀបប្រើ

Single pair

  1. On the KGA Toolbox tab, in the Spatial Analysis group, open the Spatial Analysis menu and click Direction Distance.
  2. Leave Calculate in table? unchecked.
  3. Set Coordinate Type to match the coordinates you will enter.
  4. Type the start and end coordinates into the four boxes.
  5. Set Distance Unit and Bearing Unit.
  6. Click Run and read the result in the tool messages.

Batch from a table

  1. Open the tool and check Calculate in table?.
  2. Set Coordinate Type.
  3. Set Input Table to the table of coordinate pairs.
  4. Set Specify output table.
  5. Set Distance Unit and Bearing Unit, then click Run.
