Clip Basemap By Boundary

This tool is not yet implemented. Clicking it displays the message "This feature will be available in a future update." and nothing else happens. It is documented here because the button appears on the ribbon.

- The button is present on the Quick Template menu but performs no work in this release.
- No parameters are collected and no dialog is shown — only the notice above.
Achieving the same result today
Until the tool ships, the display can be limited to a boundary by other means:
- Clip the map frame. In a layout, set the map frame's extent to the boundary layer, which limits what the frame draws.
- Mask with a layer. Add a polygon layer covering everything outside the boundary and place it above the basemap, so only the area of interest shows through.
- Clip an actual raster. If the backdrop is a raster dataset rather than a tile layer, clip it with Clip Raster or Extract By Mask from the Basic Tool → Raster Tool menu. Note that this does not work on the Google tile layers, which are streamed rather than stored.
